New York, NY - The women's volleyball team secured the #1 seed in the CUNYAC Tournament by way of a perfect 7-0 conference mark. The Hawks are the reigning champions for the last five years and will look to extend the streak to six. They will begin play on Friday, November 8 in the semifinals.

Fourth year head coach, Alyssa Broccoli, has had a perfect CUNYAC record for her entire four years and the last time the team dropped a match to a conference opponent was back in 2015. This season, they only lost two sets and they were to rivals Baruch College. With the top seed, they secure a bye and will begin play in the semi-finals on Friday, November 8. The Purple and Gold have home court advantage this year and will play at 3:30pm in the first of the two semi-finals. Should they win, they will compete for their sixth championship at 8pm. They await the winner of #4 CCNY vs. #5 John Jay while #2 Baruch will play the second semi-final match at 5:30 and will face the winner of #6 Lehman vs. #3 Brooklyn.
