Judah McIntyre scored a career high 17 points.

Brooklyn, NY – The men's basketball team won their fourth straight game last night after defeating Brooklyn College in a CUNYAC contest by as score of 60-58. The victory marks their sixth out of their last seven games and moves them up in the conference rankings and in contention for the top spot.

Judah McIntyre had a night and filled the stat line with efficient numbers, getting it done on both ends of the court. The freshman guard posted 17 points 5-8 shooting from the field, had a perfect 6-6 performance from the charity stripe, grabbed five boards and dished out five assists. George Keener and Gio Gabbidon added 11 and 10 points respectively while Jonah Bevacqua was held to just four points but still managed to grab eight misses.

A two point lead at the 18:27 mark in the first half was the only upper hand the Hawks held for virtually the entire game until they went ahead with 1:06 left in regulation. Hunter shot well in the first, knocking down nearly 44 percent of their attempts. However, they turned the ball over 12 times which contributed to the host's lead that grew to as much as 12 points at its peak in the first half. Two late free throws from McIntyre made it an eight point game at the half.

Faced with a 15 point deficit with just over 13 minutes remaining, the Hawks slowly chipped away at the Brooklyn lead. With 6:33 showing on the clock, the Bulldog's David Melman made good on a layup. It would be the last points they would score the rest of the game. McIntyre's layup on the ensuing possession sparked a 15-0 run to propel them to victory. With just over a minute left to play, Danny Fusco connected on his two free throw attempts, marking the tying and go ahead points. He then made one of his final two tries with just seconds left to seal the win.

The Hawks are back in action on Thursday, February 6 when they travel south on Lexington Ave to take on CUNYAC rivals, Baruch College. Tip-off is for 8 pm.
