NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Hunter College men's volleyball team dropped Lehman in straight sets (25-11, 25-9, 25-14) Tuesday evening in a CUNYAC matchup played in the Hunter Sportsplex. With the result the Hawks remain undefeated in conference play (5-0) while improving to 13-7 on the season. Lehman drops to 5-17 on the year (0-4 CUNYAC).
It was a dominant performance on both sides of the net for the home squad as the Hawks registered an attack percentage of .416 while keeping the Lightning to -.064. Leading the charge was
Christian Maisonet, who tallied a team-high 10 kills. He was aided by
Blake Hogan who notched nine kills to go along with a trio of aces.
Alec Helford and
Raymond Yu were tasked with the setting duties, picking up 21 and 18 assists, respectively.
Men's volleyball returns to action once again on Saturday as the team heads to SUNY New Paltz for a doubleheader. Hunter will take on Rivier University first at 1 p.m. followed by a 5 p.m. match with the host Hawks.
