Purchase, N.Y.- The Hunter College men's basketball team fell in an nonconference road game against Manhattanville, 102-81.

The Hawks (1-6) kept it close to start off the first half, taking their first lead of the game at 15:01 as Devon Matthews scored on a free-throw to go up 16-15. Hunter would continue to fight, as the lead changed two more times in the period. The fought back from a 10 point deficit to come within three but the Valiants overwhelmed the visitors taking a 51-40 lead heading in to the intermission.  Hunter continued to trail for the remainder of play despite putting up 41 points in the second half.

Three starters put up double-digit points in the loss as Jeremy Montrose led the team with 17 points while grabbing eight rebounds in addition to a pair of steals. Ryan Lau followed with 15 points, going 5-10 from three while Matthews added another 12 points. Off the bench, Casey Meyers knocked down 11 points in his 16 minutes of play. 

Hunter is set to return to the court on Dec. 10 as they face off against local rival, NYU at 2:00 p.m.
