Flushing, N.Y.- The Hunter College women's tennis team had a dominating performance this weekend with an 8-1 win over John Jay at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in the teams first CUNYAC competition of the season.
All three doubles pairs and five out of six singles won, all in straight sets including double bagles from
Marcia Postrygacz,
Anna Chapko, and
Mia Chan in no. 3, 4, and 5 singles.
Sevinch Rakhmatdinova also had a bagel of her own, winning no. 3 singles 6-0, 6-1.
Angelina Catania continues to dominate, winning second singles 6-1, 6-4. She also took home a victory in tandem with
Zaara Afida in first doubles, 8-2.
Rakhmatdinova and Chan paired up in no. 2 doubles wining 8-1, while Chapko and Lily O'heir shut out John Jay together in no. 3 doubles.
Hunter returns to the court on Oct. 1 with another confernce match against Brooklyn Colleg.
