The Hunter College Women's Tennis team traveled to Ramapo College for a final non-conference match of the fall season. The Hawks took on the unbeaten Roadrunners and battled in a number of flights for a tough 7-2 defeat. The freshman matchup of
Julia Aksamentova and
Sree Kolla proved to be tough competition in the #3 doubles dropping the match 6-8. At the #4 flight singles
Sree Kolla continued her impressive freshman campaign winning 6-2, 6-3 to grab the first team point for Hunter.
Grace Portuese another impressive freshman won at #5 singles, in a third set tiebreaker 4-6, 6-1, 10-8.
Mia Chan moved up to #2 singles and had a heartbreaking third set tiebreaker go against her, 7-6, 2-6, 8-10. Hunter will return to action when they take on John Jay College in the final regular season match, at 1:30 at USTA National Tennis Center on Friday October 20th.
