New York, N.Y.- The Hunter College men's basketball team honored their senior class in the final home game of the 2022-2023 regular season on Tuesday evening. The Hawks celebrated five upperclassmen in Joash Nyarko, Windell Edouard, Hiroki Hamazaki, Ryan Lau, and Cormac Reilly.

Hunter fell to the Beavers 106-98 to finish off its regular season 9-16 overall and 6-8 in conference. All five seniors made a start for the night with Ryan Lau getting the Hawks on the board with a three early on. He would end up netting 13 points in addition to dishing off three assists and grabbing three steals. Cormac Reilly logged eight points on the night, adding two blocks and a pair of steals. Hiroki Hamazaki also contributed with four points while Windell Eduoard and Joash Nyarko each added a block.

Luka Jakic led the Hawks for the night, netting 22 points in just 16 minutes while grabbing 12 rebounds. Donovan Cola has a season-high 16 points, shooting 6-10 from the field and 4-7 from three in addition to three rebounds and a steal. Alioune Mbengue contributed with nine points, five blocks, and four assists.

The Hawks await post-season seeding for the CUNYAC Playoffs set to be announced Thursday.
