New York, N.Y.- The Hunter College men's volleyball team continued their eight game winning streak with a 3-0 road win over CCNY this evening, as they remain undefeated in CUNYAC play. The Hawks now boast a 12-15 overall record and are a perfect 8-0 in conference, while the Beavers dip to 10-4 overall and 5-0 in CUNYAC play.
The Hawks dominated the first two sets, winning 25-8 and 25-12. The Beavers put forth a valiant effort in the final set but Hunter walked away on top with a 25-23 win to close out the match,
Hunter logged 42 kills across 91 total attempts for a .330 hitting percentage, compared to CCNY's .000 as the Purple and Gold held them to just 18 total kills.
David Lou,
Andrew Estiverne, and
Ted Kim each had eight kills in win, while Lou led the team with 10 digs, followed by
Hunter Moran and Sergio Aguago who added nine and six, respectively.
Cooper Moran continued to pace the Hawks with 38 assists on the night.
