Bronx, N.Y.- The Hunter College men's tennis team traveled to Lehman College where they won the conference match, 9-0 to improved to a 2-2 mark in CUNYAC action.
Four of the Hawks' singles matches were sweeps, starting with
Christopher Popovic who edged out his opponent at no. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-0. At no. 2, Jairo Baquer Molina won with the same mark as well as
Anil Singh at no.4 and
Kenneth Del Cid at no. 5.
Justin Pazmino took the win at no. 3 singles as well with a 6-1, 6-0 score and
Sandro Schwyzer took the win at no. 6 (6-3, 6-0).
Two of the Hawks' doubles also shutout their opponents as Molina and Popovic teamed up in the no. 1 slot while Pazmino and Del Cid swept no. 2 doubles.
Austin Martinez and Singh had a near-sweep at no, 3 doubles with an 8-1 victory to complete the 9-0 win for the Hawks.
Hunter continues it's season on Saturday April 15 as they travel to Ramapo for a non-conference match at 12:00 p.m.
