Middlebury, VT -  The Hunter College Women's Tennis team dropped it first round match up with a 5-0 loss to Drew in the first round of the NCAA tournament.  Hunter was unable to mount a comeback after dropping the three doubles matches.  The loss dropped Hunter to 13-1 on the season.

Hunter was not able to win a point in doubles play and found themselves down 0-3 at the start of singles play.  In singles play Lil McAndrews took set #1 (6-1) in the #6 flight and was up 2-1 in the second set when the match was called when Drew scored their 5th point.  Mia Chan dropped a hard fought first set 6-4, and was unable to secure a point before the match was called.

Hunter finished the season 13-1 and was undefeated in the regular season.  The hawks returned to the NCAA tournament as the CUNYAC champions for the first time since 2013.  Seniors Zaara Afida and Mia Chan completed their careers with a a successful season individually with 10 wins and 11 wins each, both in singles and doubles play.   

The hawks look to the fall with an expended roster and continued outstanding play from the underclassmen next season.
