Patterson, NJ -  The Hunter Men's soccer team secured their first win of the season with a 2-1 victory over William Patterson. Hunter's record now stands at 1-5 for the season, and their focus will shift to CUNYAC play. Hunter is set to host John Jay on Wednesday, September 27th, at Randall's Island Field 70, with kick-off scheduled for 3 pm.

In the second minute of play, William Patterson took a 1-0 lead when Diego Navas beat Hunter's goalkeeper, Matthew Heimowitz, to a long ball and looped it over to the far post. However, Hunter did not sit back. The Hawks went on the offensive and equalized the game at 1, just 11 minutes and 52 seconds into the match. Saleel Eldin scored his first goal for Hunter when Kristopher Lage crossed the ball to the left side of the box. Eldin collected it and fired it into the right post. In the 33rd minute, Conor Sullivan played the ball through to Bradley Espejo, who managed to beat the Patterson goalie for a 2-1 lead. This was Espejo's third goal in two games and his fifth of his career.
