Brooklyn, NY- Hunter Women's Tennis improved to 2-0 in CUNYAC play when they traveled to Brooklyn College and defeated the Bulldogs 9-0. Hunter is now 3-1 on the season and looks to continue the winning streak when they play Pratt at the USTA on Sunday, October 1st, at noon.

Hunter went 3-0 in the doubles matchups, winning #1 with a pairing of Anna Chapko and Grace Portuese doubles 8-2. #2 doubles was Mia Chan and Lily McAndrews, who won 8-1, and #3 doubles, Julia Aksamentove and Sree Kolla, swept the match 8-0.

Coach Trezos said, "Anna Chapko shined today at #1 singles and doubles. Lily McAndrews had an impressive performance at #2 Singles. Sree Kolla had a great debut at 3rd doubles and 5 Singles."

Chapko took home the win at #1 singles in a tough match, 6-4, 7-5. Lily McAndrews shined at #2 singles, winning 6-3, 6-1. Mia Chan picked up where she left off last year with a 6-0, 6-1 win at #3 singles in her first match of the year. Leila Nouri moved up a flight and crushed her opponent 6-1, 6-0. Kolla and Ava Cooper won in #5 and #6 singles, with Cooper winning 6-0, 6-0.
