New York, N.Y.- Hunter College's women's volleyball team dominated in a straight-set victory over Baruch in the CUNYAC semifinal, propelling them to the conference championship with an impressive performance. The Hawks, playing in front of a spirited crowd at Hunter College Sportsplex, showcased their depth and resilience, extending their undefeated conference streak to 7-0.
Leading the charge for Hunter was
Izabella Williams, who delivered a standout performance with 13 kills on a .276 hitting percentage, adding 9 digs to her stat line for a total of 15 points.
Amina Moummad contributed significantly with 8 kills, hitting at a strong .350 clip and adding 5 digs.
Bethany Tomaneng orchestrated the offense with 26 assists while chipping in defensively with 4 digs and 2 service aces. Her steady play was critical in setting the tone for Hunter's efficient attack.
The first set saw Hunter claim a 25-19 win, overcoming some initial resistance from Baruch. In the second set, the Hawks battled through nine tie scores and four lead changes to edge Baruch 26-24.
