New York, N.Y.- The Hunter College men's tennis team dropped a 3-6 decision in a conference match against Brooklyn College this afternoon. 

The Hawks did their best in doubles, putting up hard fought battles but were unable to break through. At no. 4 singles, freshman, Ali Elshehawey earned a hard fought win. In the fifth singles slot, Tyler Wood posed himself as a tough opponent, earning a victory in straight sets at 7-5, 6-3. Sandro Schwyzer picked up his first win of the season at no. 6 singles, with another straight set victory for the Hawks.

Despite the success at singles, the Hawks could not overcome Brooklyn's hot start in doubles play and ultimately fell 3-6.

The Hawks return to the court on Saturday April 13 as they head to Sarah Lawrence for a 12:00 p.m. match.
