Hunter Falls to no. 2 Brooklyn in CUNYAC Semifinals

Flushing, N.Y.- The no. 3 seeded Hunter College men's tennis team faced off against second seed, Brooklyn College, in the semifinals of the City University of New York Athletic Conference Championships this weekend, falling 0-5 to close out their season.

Hunter finishes with a 3-2 mark in conference competition and 3-7 overall. The Hawks put up a strong effort to start the day in doubles play but was unable to secure a win. Raymond Leu and Anil Singh teamed up at the first slot (2-8), followed by Tyler Wood and Sandor Schwyzer, who managed three points in the match but could not overcome the Bulldogs at no. 2 doubles. The third slot was also a 3-8 loss for the Hawks, despite strong efforts from the duo of Ralph Go and Ali Elshehawey, as Hunter entered singles down 0-3.

After no. 5 and 6 singles went down in straight sets, the remainders of the matches went unfinished as Brooklyn secured its place in the conference championship match, cutting the Hawks' postseason run short.
