BOX SCORE NEW HAVEN, CONN.- The Hunter College women's tennis team swept Albertus Magnus on the road on Wednesday afternoon, as the team moved to 3-0 overall, while the Falcons dropped to 0-7.
The duo of Isabella Tchij and Jade Schofield continued to dominate at No. 1 doubles, taking a 6-0 win to start the match. Ava Cooper and Samantha Soued teamed up for a 6-1 win as the second doubles pair.
The Hawks were nearly perfect in singles play. Tchij continued to dominate with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles, while Anna Chapko, Schonfeld, and Samantha Moser both won 6-0, 6-0 in their respective matches. Julia Aksamentova also grabbed an impressive 6-1, 6-1 win in her singles match.
The Hawks return to the court on Oct. 4 as they continue CUNYAC competition at John Jay for a 12 p.m. start.
