BRONX, N.Y.- The Hunter College women's cross country team captured its 11th straight City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) championship title on Sunday at Van Cortlandt Park. 
The Hawks scored 40 points as a team, finishing well ahead of the second-place tie between Medgar Evers and CCNY, which each totaled 68 points. Baruch placed fourth with 76 points, followed by John Jay (110) and Brooklyn College (157).
Hunter had four runners finish in the top 10, led by senior standout Shannon Ferri, who placed second overall with a time of 25:09.7. Joining her on the podium in third was Mikaelle Cesar, who clocked in at 25:58.4. Freshman Maria Gonzalez placed sixth overall, crossing the tape in 28:05.7, while Emma Kilroy rounded out the top-10 finishes in ninth place with a time of 28:33.0. Sophomore Melanie Liu recorded her best conference finish, placing 20th with a time of 30:17.6.
With the win, the Hawks set a conference record with 22 total titles in women's cross country.
