CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — The Hunter Hawks men's basketball team fell to DeSales Bulldogs 68–44 on Saturday afternoon, continuing to face early‑season adversity on the road.
Hunter trailed 28–18 at the half and was unable to make significant inroads in the second frame, managing 26 points on 10‑of‑27 shooting and a 37.0% field‑goal rate in the second half. The Bulldogs outpaced the Hawks across the board.
Offensively,
Sloan Ireland led Hunter with 15 points on 7‑of‑10 shooting, adding 12 rebounds and three steals to anchor the effort.
JP Maaba contributed 10 points, five rebounds and five assists in 30 minutes. Hunter shot 31.5% (17‑of‑54) overall and made 6‑of‑19 from three‑point range.
The Hawks also forced 12 turnovers but converted just eight points off those opportunities. Second‑chance points stood at nine, and bench scoring totaled 11 for the visiting group.

Hunter's next challenge comes when they return to the Sportesplex or their home opener on Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. against Manhattanville.
