BRONX, N.Y.  — The Hunter College men's volleyball team rolled to its sixth straight win with a dominant sweep over Lehman College (25-17, 25-16, 25-13) on Friday night at The APEX, improving to 15-9 overall and 9-1 in conference play.

The Hawks never trailed Lehman (12-7, 4-7 CUNYAC), showcasing a dominant performance that saw them hit .365 as a team and rack up 42 kills with just 11 errors. Hunter set the tone early in the first set, opening with a 14-kill effort behind precise passing and steady setting from Brandon Yeh, who dished out 25 assists while adding two kills and five digs.

Outside hitters Kyle Foley, Annes Deljanin, and Jon Pflueger led the offensive charge. Deljanin was particularly efficient, slamming 11 kills on 15 swings without an error for a remarkable .733 hitting percentage. Foley and Pflueger each tallied 11 kills, with Foley contributing three service aces and a block assist, while Pflueger chipped in two aces and a pair of his own block assists.

Hunter took control early in Set 1, using a 7-1 run to break a 3-3 tie and never looked back. The Hawks extended their lead steadily, closing the frame 25-17 with a powerful kill from Foley.

The second set saw even more offensive rhythm, with Hunter hitting .368 as Foley and Pflueger continued to find weakness in the Lehman defense. Ahmed Mohamed provided a spark in the middle, notching five kills on eight attempts (.375) while adding two service aces.

In Set 3, the Hawks overwhelmed the Lightening with a 10-2 opening run, capitalizing on service pressure and unforced errors. Deljanin punctuated the final set with a pair of emphatic kills, and Wesley Stubbs added a kill to close the match.

Hunter's defense was also sharp, recording 33 digs and limiting Lehman to a .068 hitting percentage. Libero Nick Yao anchored the back row with seven digs, while Charles Pampliega and Pflueger each added six.

The Purple and Gold is slated to return to the court on Tuesday as they face off against conference leading, Baruch on the road. Hunter fans will hold a 'Hawk Walk' starting at Hunter's Brookdale campus at 5:00 p.m. as they meet the squad at Baruch for a 6:00 p.m. first serve.
