NEW YORK, N.Y.- The Hunter College women's basketball team continued its dominant run through conference play Friday night, rolling past York College 77–39 at the Hunter Sportsplex to remain unbeaten in CUNYAC action (4-0) and improve to 11-4 overall.
The Hawks turned in a complete team effort, overwhelming the Cardinals with four players scoring in double figures, 26 team steals, and a commanding 53-36 rebounding edge.
Gianna Henriques led the way with another standout performance, with a 14 point, 13 rebound double-double, while adding three steals and a pair of blocks. She was joined at the top of the scoring column by
Wanhua Peng, who poured in a career-high 14 points, including a pair of threes, and added six boards and three steals in 27 minutes on the court.
Makkedah Murray had a season-high 11 points, in addition seven rebounds, and five assists, while recording a career-best seven steals, showcasing her two-way impact.
Ali Drake, making her first career start, delivered a balanced stat sheet with 13 points, six rebounds, four steals, and three assists in another efficient showing.
Mia Fuller chipped in with nine points and seven rebounds, while freshman reserves

Rica Ho, and
Ariella Shindelman each added baskets in a deep rotation effort that saw 14 Hawks take the floor and 12 register at least one point.
Hunter jumped out to a 14-5 lead in the first quarter, then broke the game open with a 29-point second quarter, building a 43-15 edge by halftime. The Purple and Hold scored 34 points off turnovers, dominated in transition with 25 fast-break points, and never looked back.
The Hawks return to the court on Jan. 14, when they host conference rival Brooklyn College at the Sportsplex in a matchup of top conference contenders. Tip-off is slated for 5 p.m.
