BRONX, N.Y.- The Hunter College men's cross country team continued its season at the Queensborough College Invitational this weekend, earning a fourth place team finish in the men's 8k race at Van Cortlandt Park.
Leonardo Kaplan continued his strong debut cross country season, placing 6th in a field of 157 total runners. Kaplan crossed the tape in 29:04.4, to lead all City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) runners, marking his second top-10 finish of the season. He was followed by
Jack Treacher, who earned a 25th place finish with his time of 31:40.1, just ahead of
Miles Pineda at 31:49.3, to place 29th.
Todd Maendel, in his first collegiate meet, placed 43rd overall, with a time of 32:59.1, followed by
Harrison Abarca who closed out top-50 finishes for the Purple and Gold. The senior recorded a time of 33:02.4 for 45th place.
Hunter resumes its season on Oct. 10 as the squad travels to Newark, N.J. for the New Jersey Insititute of Technology (NJIT) Invitational.
