Hawks Finish Season as CUNYAC Runner-Up

FLUSHING, N.Y.- The Hunter College men's tennis team fell to top-seeded Baruch, 4-0, in the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) Championship match on Thursday at the USTA National Tennis Center.

Hunter concludes its season at 7-7 overall (5-1 CUNYAC) after a strong run to the conference final.

Baruch gained early momentum in doubles play, taking victories at No. 2 and No. 3 to secure the opening point, while the No. 1 match featuring Nicholas Cooper and Alexander Hagiu went unfinished.

In singles action, the Hawks continued to compete but were unable to break through as Baruch clinched the match with straight-set wins at the top of the lineup. Cooper led off at No. 1 singles, followed by Hagiu at No. 2 and Savio Francis at No. 4.

Several matches remained unfinished as the overall result was decided, with Odin Dibra competing at No. 3, Jason Parmar at No. 5, and Nicholas Douglas at No. 6.

Despite the result, the Hawks capped off a successful conference campaign, advancing to the championship match and finishing as regular season runners-up.
