Doris Alvarez enters her first season as a cross country assistant and second season as an assistant track & field coach at Hunter College. She serves as the program's recruiting coordinator, while specializing in coaching short sprints.
An alum of Hunter track and field, Alvarez was named a CUNYAC All-Star in cross country twice (2015 and 2016) and was a part of two cross country CUNYAC Championships. The sprinter earned a conference championship in indoor and outdoor during her senior season and was a member of the conference title winning distance medley relay team in 2015.
During the 2015-16 year, Alvarez helped the Hawks to a Triple Crown as the team won championships in cross country, indoor track and field and outdoor track and field.
