Honors and Awards: CUNYAC All-Tournament Team, CUNYAC Rookie of the Year, CUNYAC Rookie of the Week (1/29, 2/12, 3/5, 3/19), ECAC Rookie of the Week (1/28, 2/11, 3/20), ECAC Rookie of the Year (2018)...CUNYAC First Team All-Star, CUNYAC All-Tournament Team, Second Team All-ECAC (2019)...CUNYAC First-Team All-Star...CUNYAC Scholar Athlete of the Month (March) (2020).

2020: Played in 17 games while making 15 starts...logged 27 kills and hit .265...as the team's main setter, registered 562 assists while adding nine service aces, 89 digs and 29 total blocks...had two games with 50 or more assists...tied his career high of 62 assists in a 3-2 win over St. Joseph's -LI on February 15...was named a First Team CUNYAC All-Star.

2019: Started and played in 30 matches this year as the team's primary setter...led the league in total assists with 990 and a 9.43 assist per set average which also ranked him 11th and 15th in the country, respectively...added 38 kills, 18 service aces 168 digs and 41 total blocks...had four matches with 50 or more assists and set a career high 62 assists in the ECAC Championship game against Juniata on April 20 where the Hawks won 3-2...awards include CUNYAC First Team All-Star, All-ECAC Second-Team and CUNYAC All-Tournament Team.

2018: Started and played in 32 matches and saw action in 104 sets...as the Hawk's setter, his 1,052 assists topped the CUNYAC and ranked him fourth nationally while his 10.12 assists/set was the best in CUNYAC and sixth in the country...he also registered 19 service aces, 164 digs and 40 total blocks...on three occasions, eclipsed the 50 assist mark including his 59 assist performance in a 3-1 win over Johnson and Wales (1/26)...earned a slew of awards including CUNYAC All-Tournament Team, CUNYAC Rookie of the Year, CUNYAC Rookie of the Week (1/29, 2/12, 3/5, 3/19), ECAC Rookie of the Week (1/28, 2/11, 3/20) and ECAC Rookie of the Year.

Personal: Played volleyball for head coach David Vogel at Massapequa High School...while there, was a two-time All-County, two-time All-Long Island, team MVP and two-time Captain...academically, was on the High Honor roll for the first three years and then ended on the Principal's list his senior year...son of Deborah and Brad Helford...has two brothers, Drew and Matthew.
