Beth Liav

Beth Liav will bring her knowledge and passion for softball to the Hunter team after being added to the staff in time for the 2019 season. She excelled in college as a two-time 1st Team All-PSAC pitcher for Edinboro University of Pennsylvania (DII) with a career of 359 innings pitched, 276 strike outs, and a 2.40 ERA.

As a varsity pitcher for the top-ranked North County Knights in high school, she was a pivotal player in leading the team to win the Maryland State Class 4A Championship three of her four years. She was named to the All-County and All-Metro teams all four years, even claiming the Washington Post’s Anne Arundel County Player of the Year honor in 2005. She finished her high school career with an impressive 61 - 11 record, 550 strikeouts, .86 ERA, and .332 batting average.

Liav looks forward to working with the Hawks' pitching staff to develop and hone their mechanics, as well as motivate, inspire, and build confidence, on and off the field.

In addition to softball, Liav has remained a competitive athlete in New York City through her other love, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
