Vanessa Onwe enters her first season as an assistant coach for the Hunter College women's basketball team. Her role focuses primarily on assisting in strength and conditioning, scouting, and game and practice preparation.Â
Before coming to Hunter, the Westchester native was a four-year combo guard at Babson College (Mass.) under Northeast Hall of Fame coach, Judith Blinstrub. During her time with the Beavers, Onwe contributed to four regular season New England Men's and Women's Athletic Conference titles, an 81-28 overall record and an NCAA Sweet 16 run. She graduted from Babson in May 2020 with a bachelor's degree in business administrations - operations management.
