2019-20: Competed in 11 meets for the Purple and Gold...tallied 11 individual top-five finishes which included an event win against John Jay in the 100y fly where she swam to a time of 1:10.32...at the CUNYAC Championship, earned a sixth place showing in the 100y fly and a pair of fourth place finishes in both the 1650 free and 200y fly...competed in the 100y and 200y fly at METS and placed 24th and 17th respectively while setting personal bests in each...named the CUNYAC Sportsmanship Award winner.
2018-19: Competed in eight meets on the season and set four personal bests...at CUNYAC's, set three personal bests en route to three top-nine finishes which included a sixth place showing in the 200y fly in a personal best time of 2:50.68.
2017-18: Swam in 13 meets for the Hawks primarily in the backstroke...earned her first event win in the 100y back stroke against Kean in a time of 1:17.95...chalked up two top-10 finishes at CUNYAC's in both the 200y back and 100y fly...at MET's, swam to two personal bests; 1:16.26 in the 100y b ack and 2:45.41 in the 200y back.
Personal: Swam for head coach AnnMarie Boylan at Staten Island Tech...was a two-year captain and helped her team win the Island Championship in 2014...academically, earned an Advanced Regents Diploma with honors and was ranked in the top-10 in her class...daughter of Heba Guirguis and Hany Helmy...has one sibling, Atef Junior Helmy...majoring in biochemistry.
