Alex Trezos

Alex Trezos completed his fifth season as head coach of the Hunter College women's tennis program in 2024–25, leading the Hawks to a thrilling CUNYAC Championship title and a berth in the NCAA Division III Tournament. After finishing second in the regular season, Hunter upset top-seeded Baruch 5-4 to snap the Bearcats’ five-year title streak and reclaim the league crown. Trezos guided Julia Aksamentova to Tournament MVP honors, as well as multiple All-Star selections across the lineup.

Trezos was elevated to head coach of both the men’s and women’s tennis programs in 2018 after one season as an assistant. He previously steered the Hawks to the top of the conference in 2019, posting a dominant 12-1 overall record and a perfect 6-0 mark in league play to capture the program’s 22nd CUNYAC title. That year, Trezos was named CUNYAC Coach of the Year, and his players earned First Team, Second Team, and Tournament MVP accolades.

In 2018, he coached the CUNYAC Rookie of the Year and guided the team to a conference runner-up finish in his first season at the helm.
Off the court, Trezos works as a Tennis Pro at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Corona, N.Y., where he manages the ACES program and provides instruction to players of all levels. He was a member of the player operations staff at the 2017 U.S. Open, gaining valuable exposure to elite-level preparation and training environments.

Trezos made the transition to full-time tennis coaching after a decade-long career in financial services at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. A certified Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) instructor, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from St. John’s University in 1992.
