Corey Marsh

Hunter College women’s tennis assistant coach Corey Marsh has been promoted to co-head coach to start the 2017 season, as announced by Director of Athletics, Recreation and Intramurals Terry Wansart. Marsh will work with fellow co-head coach Ed Metzendorf to guide the Hawk women’s tennis team this year.
 
He will provide his knowledge and dedication to the squad after working with the team during the last spring season.

Marsh has over ten years of coaching experience, most recently working as the head coach of the Berkeley Carroll School tennis team. He works full time as a tennis instructor and is the owner and director of the Momentum Tennis program, based in the Manhattan area, where he coaches junior to adult players.
 
Marsh is also the current director of the after school tennis program at NYC Lab School for the Manhattan Youth Program. The program gives inner city children the opportunity to learn and grow in the sport during their free time after classes. In addition to this organization, he works part-time as a coach at NYC Advantage QuickStart Programs in New York City.
 
Prior to his current positions, Marsh was the director of tennis at the Hamlet Country Club on Long Island where he was in charge of running the junior program and summer camp.
 
Marsh boasts an accomplished career as a player as well, playing collegiately at Gettysburg College and club tennis at Syracuse University. He posted a .750 winning percentage in Division III play and was a gold medalist in doubles at the NYS Empire State Games and a JCC Maccabi Games Silver Medalist.
 
Marsh graduated from Syracuse University in 2013 with a B.A. in English and Textual Studies.
