Began playing volleyball in 2008 and continues to play. Currently plays + coaches 9man volleyball, a version of volleyball developed in China, that continues to grow around the world.

Coach Played for Southern Vermont College as a libero/ds in the Spring of 2013 then transferred to Mount Ida College in the Spring of 2014. Mccullough was utility player and filled any roll the team needed. In the Spring of 2016 he graduated from Mount Ida College after playing all 3 seasons there.

In the fall of 2016 Coach Mccullough began his coaching career, coaching for the Metrowest VBC in Massachusetts, in the spring season of 2017 he jumped onto the staff for Algonquin Regional High School, helping the team to a regular season championship.

In 2018 Mccullough moved to NYC and joined the Queensborough Community College staff, helping the Tigers to a CUNYAC championship and a run to the NJCAA DIII Elite eight.

Coach Mccullough has also been working in the high school ranks since his move to NYC, helping Hunter College High School with a 2019 run to the PSAL semi-finals, and has been the JV head coach at The Hewitt School for the past 4 seasons.
