Shawn Swift took the reigns of the wrestling program at Hunter at the start of the 2019-20 season. In his first year his team managed two wins, defeating SUNY Sullivan at Homecoming and on the road against Keystone College at the North South Duals...at the Roger Williams Invitational, he had one of his athletes, Serjey Thomas, finish in fifth place in his weight class and had another, Andrew Cota, finish in the top eight at the Bob Quade Open. Lastly, Jacob Radboy was the heavyweight runner up at the Northeast Futures Tournament.. Under Swift's direction, nine of his wrestlers competed at the NCAA Mideast Regional with both Cota and Paul Wehr coming away with All-Region honors after placing fourth and seventh respectively.
