Michael Rubinfeld joined Hunter College Athletics as the Administrative Coordinator in [Month, Year]. With a strong background in sports management and athletic administration, Rubinfeld is dedicated to supporting the department’s mission of fostering excellence in academics and athletics for student-athletes.
Rubinfeld earned his Master of Science in Sports Management from SUNY Cortland and his Bachelor of Science in Sports Management with a minor in Business and Communications from The Ohio State University, maintaining a 3.7 GPA at both institutions.
Before joining Hunter College, Rubinfeld served as the Sports Information Director at LaGuardia Community College. In this role, he ensured compliance with NJCAA regulations, managed game contracts, and spearheaded the implementation of a new athletics website. He also revitalized the college’s intramural programs and managed key financial accounts, demonstrating his ability to lead and innovate.
Rubinfeld brings exceptional organizational skills, a talent for effective communication, and a deep commitment to advancing collegiate athletics. Outside of work, he enjoys participating in recreational sports like softball and beach volleyball and is an avid reader, devouring nearly 80 books annually.
