Newcomb led the Hawks this week with 54 kills including 22 against Newbury College (January 23) and 17 in an upset of Nazareth College (January 24) who were ranked #7 at the time. He had a total of 4 service aces, 16 digs, and 5 blocks for the week. The Hawks stand at 2-4 on the year and will have a week off before traveling to face conference foe Lehman College to open CUNYAC play on February 2 at 7:00 p.m.
