Alvord won three gold medals and one bronze medal at the CUNYAC Swimming and Diving Championships (February 4-6) while earning Swimmer of the Year honors and leading the Hawks to a second place overall finish. She won gold with a 2:15.81 performance in the 200-yard backstroke, a 1:03.67 performance in the 100-yard backstroke, and a 5:34.27 performance in the 500-yard freestyle which broke the conference the record she set a last year’s championship. She earned the bronze medal as part of the Hawks 400-yard freestyle relay. The Hawks will next be in action for the Metropolitan Championships on February 19-21 held in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
