Bomi Park (Astoria, NY/Younghoon) was the clutch performer for the second time this season, winning the decisive fifth match 6-3 ,4-6, 6-0 to give the Hawks a 5-4 victory over Brooklyn College to close out regular season play with a perfect 8-0 conference record and win the program's eight straight regular season championship.
After winning two out of three doubles matches, the Hawks took first singles with sophomore
Elizabeth Feldman (Brooklyn, NY/Midwood) defeating
Ruth Perez 6-1, 6-2 and sophomore
Anna Vagner (Staten Island, NY/Tottenville) won her second singles match in three sets, 5-7, 6-1, 7-5. Park broke the 4-4 tie with her win at fifth singles.
The Hawks will now ready for the Quarterfinals of the CUNYAC Championship Tournament where they will face eighth-seeded John Jay College on Tuesday, October 21 at the USTA Tennis Center in Flushing, NY.
