Mahwah, NJ – Trailing 1-2 after doubles play, the Hawks won three straight singles match, but the Roadrunners of Ramapo College would win the fourth through sixth singles to take a 5-4 victory over the Hawks in non-conference women's tennis action Wednesday evening in Mahwah, NJ.
Junior
Evgeniya Kim (Flushing, NY/Cardozo) improved to 2-0 on the season with a 6-1, 6-0 win at first singles and also won the team's only doubles match alongside sophomore
Elizabeth Feldman (Brooklyn, NY/Midwood) 8-0. Senior
Monica Calungcagin (Valley Cottage, NY/Nyack) won her second match of the season, 6-2, 6-1, competing at second singles.
Feldman was the final Hawk to record a win on the day, taking third singles 6-2, 6-1.
After tonight's match, the Hawks are now 2-2 on the season and are set to return to action on Friday, when they head to Wayne, NJ to face William Paterson University for a 4:00 p.m. non-conference match.
