Two minutes into the second half,
Buckham converted on a lay-up to regain the lead for the Hawks, an advantage they would hold onto for the next seven minutes of play. When Brooklyn to a 49-48 lead with 9:09 left to go, it would be their final lead of the game as they didn't allow the Hawks any changes of getting back into this one.
Brooklyn had four finish in double figures, led by junior guard Priscilla Ramirez (Brooklyn, NY/FDR) who had 20 points and a team high eight rebounds. Junior guard Christine Belfiore (Staten Island, NY/Staten Island Tech) was next in line with 19 points.
