New York, NY – Sophomore guard
Megan McKenna (Rockaway, NY/Midwood) finished with a team high 13 points, but for the second straight game, an early deficit would prove to be too much for the Hawks as the Ospreys of Richard Stockton take home a 90-51 victory in a non-conference women's basketball game Monday night at the Hunter Sportsplex.
The Hawks were shorthanded coming out of Saturday's game, dressing just seven players tonight, six of which participated. Sophomore guard
Michelle Gatti (Brooklyn, NY/Christ the King) had a season high 12 points, and freshman guard
Angelika Wronowska (Brooklyn, NY/Baruch) had a career best 11 points for the Hawks.
Freshman center LaTonya Oliver (West Berlin, NJ/Overbrook) led the Ospreys with 17 points and eight rebounds, while freshman forward Sula Washington (Montgomery Village, MD/Watkins Mill) added 11 points and sophomore forward Julie Fagan (New Britain, CT/New Britain) tossed in ten points and pulled down seven boards. Richard Stockton had 15-of-16 players who played, scored at least one basket.
Hunter returns to conference play on Wednesday, when they travel to Brooklyn, NY for their only meeting of the season with Medgar Evers College. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
