Wronowska Scores Career High In Loss To Baruch

New York, NY – Freshman guard Angelika Wronowska (Brooklyn, NY/Baruch) scored a season high 29 points and set a new school record for most three-point field goals in a game, but her efforts would not be enough as the Bearcats of Baruch College remained unbeaten in CUNY Athletic Conference play with a 102-57 victory Friday night at the Hunter Sportsplex.

Wronowska converted nine three point shots which shattered a school record of seven, originally set by Jen Rogers on January 31, 2001 and later tied by Jen Agosto twice in 2002.

Senior guard Megan McKenna (Rockaway, NY/Midwood) was the only other Hawk to finish in double digits, scoring 14 points in 35 minutes of action, while senior guard Michelle Gatti (Brooklyn, NY/Christ the King) had a team high eight assists and six points in 40 minutes on the floor.

The Bearcats had six finish in double figures, led by freshman guard Shadae Rice (Brooklyn, NY/Grand Street Campus) who scored 21 points on 7-of-11 shooting. Junior forward Kalea Davis (Bronx, NY/Herbert H. Lehman) was next in line with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

The Hawks return home on Wednesday, February 4 when they host N.Y. City Tech for a CUNAC doubleheader with the women playing at 5:00 p.m. and the men at 7:00 p.m.
