Anthony Intrabartolo (Glendale, NY/Christ the King), who led the Hawks in scoring in 2007, is credited with the game-winning goal after finding the back of the net at 65:46 to give Hunter a 1-0 lead, junior
Tutuboy Harris (Staten Island, NY/Martin) was awarded the assist. Later in the game, senior forward
Oscar Dotti (Mamaroneck, NY/Mamaroneck) who led the Hawks in scoring last season picked up an insurance goal at 81:54, taking a pass from Intrabartolo and tapping it into an empty net.
Freshman keeper
Alexandre Ilic (Miami, FL/Miami Killian Senior High) faced seven shots, but had no saves on the night as he records his second career shutout, while senior John Ajirotutu (Brooklyn, NY/Canarsie) made eight saves in net for the Cougars.
The Hawks now improve to 3-7-1 on the year and are 3-2 in the CUNYAC, while the Cougars fall to 4-7-2 and 3-2-1 in the CUNYAC. Hunter will continue conference play on Saturday when they are scheduled to host John Jay College for a 7:00 p.m. match on Randall's Island.
