McKenna Scores 25 In Loss At Lehman

Bronx, NY – Sophomore guard Megan McKenna (Rockaway, NY/Midwood) scored a team high 25 points and also pulled down 13 boards as the top performer for the Hawks, but it would be the Lightning of Lehman College who pick up a 78-60 victory on Saturday afternoon in women's basketball action at the APEX in the Bronx, NY.

Junior center Juanita Whyms recorded her fifth double-double of the year, scoring 11 points and grabbing 12 rebounds, while junior guard Shay Branch El-Vielot (Cambria Heights, NY/Canarsie) also finished with 11 points for the Hawks.

The Lightning, were led by junior guard Kelsey Ash (Santee, CA/Santana) who scored a game high 28 points and senior forward Monique Sampson contributed with 16 points and five steals.

The Hawks will be back in action on Monday, when they host the Red Hawks of Montclair State University for a non-conference 5:00 p.m. game at the Hunter Sportsplex.
