On Saturday, September 25, the men's soccer team traveled to Brooklyn, New York for a conference game against the Cougars of Medgar Evers College. After a late first half goal, the Hawks netted three more in the second while holding MEC scoreless. With the win, Hunter advances to 4-3-2, 2-0-1 CUNYAC while the Cougars fall to 4-4-1, 0-2-1 CUNYAC.

The two teams were knotted at zero for the first 43 minutes of the game until Leander Kotsopoulos sent a pass to Omry Lifschitz who fired a shot from the left side to beat keeper Christopher Welsh and put the Hawks up 1-0. Just over five minutes into the second half, Hunter struck again as Danny Vera scored off of a Lukasz Sowinski assist to go up 2-0. In the 72nd and 74th minutes respectively, Nicolas Escobar scored back to back goals as Saif Zureikat and Lifschitz were credited with the assists.

The Hawks are back in action today as they host the Violets of NYU. The game is slated for a 5:00 pm start at Randall's Island, field #10.
