FARMINGDALE, NY - The Hunter College women's basketball suffered a tough road loss, dropping a 78-50 decision at SUNY at Old Westbury on Friday evening.

The loss drops Hunter to 3-5 on the young 2011-12 campaign while Old Westbury improves to 3-4 with its victory.

The Hawks were led by Megan McKenna who finished the night with 12 points, adding four rebounds while Nicole Lenard added 11 tallies and four boards. Marta Banach pulled in a team-high 10 rebounds.

Hunter trailed 41-19 at halftime and simply could not overcome the deficit as the Panthers outscored the Hawks 37-31 following the break to take the 78-50 victory.

Hunter returns to action on Tuesday, December 13th when they host Rutgers-Newark at the Hunter Sportsplex. Tip-off is set for 5pm.
