New York, NY-- The Hunter College women's tennis team continued their spring struggle, losing to Drew University 8-1 on Thursday, April 14.

The Hawks recorded their only victory of the day in the No. 3 doubles match as Ericka Jaramillo and Angeliq Petropouleas defeated Drew's Cristine Conde and Yiyi Rodriguez, 8-4.

The Hawks were not as fortunate elsewhere as Jennifer Kraham was defeated in the No. 1 spot (6-3, 6-2), followed by losses from Stefanie Smith (6-1, 6-0), Jessica Yi (6-1, 6-1), Jaramillo (6-0, 1-6, 10-5), Alisa Jaganjac (6-2, 6-2), and Petropouleas (6-2, 6-0) in the No. 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 spots, respectively.

The No. 1 and 2 doubles teams did not fare much better for the Hawks as Kraham and Yi were defeated 8-6, while Smith and Jaganjac took an 8-2 loss.

The Hawks will look to turn their spring season around when they take on SUNY New Paltz on April 22.
