MASPETH, NY - On Monday, October 1st the men's soccer team travelled to the Met Oval to take on the Bloodhounds of John Jay in their fourth CUNY match-up. After a goal in the 49th minute by John Jay, the Hawks were unable to retaliate, dropping the game 1-0. With the loss, Hunter falls to 1-8-2, while the Bloodhounds improve to 3-6-3.

Diego Mercado led the Hawks with 3 shots with 2 being on goal.
John Jay outshot Hunter 23-10 in the contest, including 12-2 in the first half, while goalkeeper Emmaunel Aprilakis made 6 saves for the day.
The Bloodhounds lone goal came from Korede Griffith early in the second half with assists from Jesus Lugo and Justin Osorio.
The Hawks are back on the field on October 3rd, when they travel to the Aviator Sports Complex to compete against Medgar Evers at 7 p.m.
