Women's Basketball Outrun By Knights

NEW YORK, NY - On Tuesday, December 4th the women's basketball team played host to the Knights of Mount Saint Mary College in a non-conference match-up.  The Hawks struggled to stave off the Knights in the second half, ultimately dropping the game 41-66.  With the loss, the Hawks drop to 1-5, 1-1 CUNYAC while the Knights improve to 4-3, 2-0 Skyline.

Only down by five at half time, the Knights power-surge in the beginning of the second half went unanswered by the Hawks.  MSMC took a demanding 27 point led with three minutes left in regulation.

Junior Nicole Lenard led the Hawks with 15 points and five rebounds, going 5-14 on the floor.  Junior Kristen Sells netted 11 points with two steals while sophomore Dimitra Thomopoulos went 4-4 behind the arc.

The Knights were led by Rottisha Lewis who had a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds. 

The Hawks are back in action when they host the Cougars of Medgar Evers College on Friday, December 7th at Homecoming.  The game is slated for a 5:30pm start.
