New York, N.Y. - The women's basketball team lost a tough 75-61 game to the Bearcats of Baruch on Tuesday, November 26th. With the loss, the Hawks drop to 2-4, 0-1 CUNYAC while the Bearcats improve to 2-1, 1-0 CUNYAC.
The Hawks were led by senior
Nicole Lenard who scored a game high of 25 points, while also having two steals, three rebounds, and six assists.
Dimitra Krissi Thomopoulos chipped in with a double-double, netting 14 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Kristen Sells added 13 points while
Ayanna Hudson snagged 11 rebounds.
The Bearcats controlled most of the first half by scoring 15 points off of 14 Hawk turnovers allowing themselves to go into halftime with a comfortable 38-23 lead. The Hawks fought back though in the second half to go on a 17-6 run to cut the lead to 44-40, but the strong Bearcats went on a run of their own to end the game 75-61.
The Hawks are back in action on Decemeber 2nd when they travel to Purchase, NY to take on Manhattanville,
