Brooklyn, N.Y. - The women's basketball team defeated the Cougars of Medgar Evers 71-42 on Tuesday, December 10th. With the win, the Hawks improve to 4-6, 1-2 CUNYAC while the Cougards fall to 2-6, 0-3 CUNYAC.

The Hawks were led by senior captain Kristen Markoe who scored a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds. Nicole Lenard netted 14 points while freshman Ayanna Hudson snagged 13 rebounds. Kerrin Sells netted nine points while Dimitra Thomopoulos scored eight.

The Cougars were led by Nia Tompkins who scored 17 points and six rebounds. Teammate Kimonia Mullings had a double-double of 13 points and 18 rebounds.

The Hawks are back in action on Friday, December 13th when they play John Jay.
