New York, N.Y. - The Hunter Hawks snapped their four game losing streak by defeating Mount St. Mary's College 77-62
Friday night at the Hunter College Sportsplex.
The Hawks (3-6) had four players score in double-digits, led by senior
Nicole Lenard's game-high 25 points. The Maspeth native also dished out eight assists while playing 38 minutes.
Kristen Markoe chipped in with 14 points and 11 rebounds, her third double-double of the season.
Joey Chan and Krissi Thomopoulos each had 10 points.
Ayanna Hudson grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds, her sixth game of the season with double digit rebounds.
The Knights (0-7) had a very balanced scoring attack led by Lauren Romao's 15 points. Rachel Perrone and Natalie Candarelli each scored 14 and Jessica Perrone scored 12.
After taking an 8-6 lead with
16:43 left in the first half, the Hawks never trailed throughout the rest of the game and led the game by as much as 17 points in the 2
nd half.
The Hawks return to action Tuesday December 10
th when they take on CUNY rival Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn. Tip-off is
6:00pm.
