Women's Basketball Ends Season in CUNYAC Semi-Final

New York, N.Y. - The women's basketball team closed the books on their 2012-2013 season last night in the CUNYAC/Con Edison Semi-Finals against the Bearcats of Baruch, dropping a 34-58 decision. 

The Hawks were led by Nicole Lenard who netted 11 points and five rebounds. Dimitra Krissi Thomopoulos and Kristen Sells each added eight points while Ayanna Hudson had a game-high of nine rebounds.

The Bearcats were led by Jessica Duleba who scored 20 points and five boards while Frances Henry helped with 11 points and seven rebounds.

Baruch used an offensive surge to jump out to a dominating 33-11 halftime lead, which they never relented in the second half as the defense force the Hawks into 30 turnovers which was converted into 34 points. The Hawks attempted 40 shots compared to Baruchs 69 attemps.

The women end their season 12-15, 9-7 CUNYAC, while the #24 ranked Bearcats continue on to the finals against Brooklyn College on Sunday.
